The Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is a Windows Office feature that contains a set of predefined or commonly used commands that may be used and generated across all environments. By default, the QAT is located in the upper left-hand corner of an Office application and may be displayed either above or below the ribbon.
The Default QAT Commands
You also can relocate Quick Access Toolbar. There are a few tips about Quick Access Toolbar.
First is Adding Commands
- On the ribbon, click the appropriate tab or group to display the command that you want to add to the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Right-click the command, and then click Add to Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu.
Second is Removing Commands
Click Right-click the command you want to remove from the Quick Access Toolbar, and then click Remove from Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu.
Third is Customizing Toolbar
There are few steps to customizing toolbar in Excel;
- Click the File tab and then click Options.
- Click Quick Access Toolbar.
- Make the changes you want.
Fourth is Using the File (Backstage) Menu
When you click the File tab, you see some basic commands such as Open, Save, and Print.
Quick Access Toolbar fully customizable and allows its users to add or remove a command directly through the toolbar. If a user wants to enable command from the predefined list, he or she simply click to add or remove. Just simple as that right to use Excel.
